Raymond Franks
Former founder and president of Alpha-Omega Broadcasting, Inc.

Raymond Franks was the president and founder of Alpha-Omega Broadcasting and had been associated with broadcasting since 1970 when he started in radio doing a weekly Saturday afternoon call in request program.  He also built a radio station here in Albuquerque and in 1987 put KAZQ TV32 on the air with a volunteer staff and a day time only operation.  During the past 25 years the station has progressed to a full time 24 hour station and when digital was built the station now carries  eight digital signals. (32.1) Our main station, (32.2) God TV, (32.3) SBN, (32.4) AFA Family Association, (32.5) The Daystar Network, (36.1), (36.2) Almavision, (36.3) Trine TV

Raymond was also the original host of the daily television show, Spectrum. This program features news, tips, and commentary on varied subjects of interest to our audience.  In addition the program features an interview with both local and national persons of interest.  Spectrum has been on the air for over 20 years as a weekly telecast and this year went daily with the addition of Ruth Franks as the co-host. Spectrum is now hosted by his son, Brenton Franks and his wife Ruth.

In addition to his television work, Raymond founded Evangel Christian Center in Albuquerque, pastoring the church from 1970 to 2005.

On January 25, 2014, Raymond Franks passed away but his legacy lives on through the ministry of Alpha-Omega Broadcasting of Albuquerque, Inc.

Ruth Franks

Operations Manager

Ruth moved to Albuquerque in 1989 where she began attending Evangel Christian Center. There she met and married Brenton Franks. They have two children.

Ruth earned a Specialized Ministry License from The Assemblies of God in 1995 and completed her ministerial studies from Global University. She is very active at Evangel Christian Center as Pastor’s wife and is very involved on the praise and worship team. She has also taught Sunday School, Mpact girls, and been Women’s Ministry Director.

Ruth was hired by Alpha-Omega Broadcasting in 1997 as the bookkeeper. Ruth came with years of experience from her previous position at American Golf Corporation and corporate retail bookkeeping positions. As time went on her responsibilities grew and she was promoted to the position of Operations Manager.

In 2013, the opportunity arose to become a co-host to Raymond Franks on the daily Spectrum program. It has truly been a blessing for her to come alongside Pastor Ray and meet all the wonderful people that have been guests on the show.

With so many challenges each of us face daily, she knows the importance of keeping her heart and mind in the right place.

Therefore one of her favorite verses is Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Howard Holley

Production Manager

Howard came to KAZQ in 1997 with a degree in Biblical Studies from Victory Bible College and served as the Singles Pastor for Evangel Christian Center where he met his wife Evelyn. An opportunity arose to work full time for Alpha-Omega Broadcasting, Inc and because of his computer and technical knowledge Howard was offered the position as KAZQ’s Production Manager.

Howard has a wide range of both technical and creative skills, required by today’s computerized and highly technical television production environment. His photography and lighting skills have proved invaluable and he is always willing to show and teach others the methods that have taken him years to learn. Although Howard has many skills he never feels as though he knows everything but continues to apply himself in learning new techniques so that every program he is responsible for can be the best it can be. He is never satisfied with his last effort. Howard’s Life verse is 1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.”

The one thing I am sure of in life is this, the older I get the less I know and therefore my dependence on God grows.

Not only does Howard wear the production manager hat but Howard is also responsible for much of KAZQ’s in-house technical dependability including the creation, setup and maintaining the station’s LAN and the computers used throughout the station. Most all of KAZQ’s media is in a digital format and is passed from computer to computer, from studio capture, to editing suites to video servers, therefore network and computer reliability and security is at the top of KAZQ’s list of priorities.

Isaac Milleson

Lead Editor, Website Developer

KAZQ hired Isaac in 2011 after he had been seeking a media-oriented career for many years. He brought a vast amount of hands on experience to the table as well as many college hours of relevant study which he is currently furthering at Central New Mexico Community College. In addition to technical education, Isaac has completed 3 years of Christian Education with Passion Leadership College and has graduated with a degree in Media Based Christian Leadership. Isaac holds the role of “Lead Editor” as well as bares the responsibilities of a Master Control Technician and Website Devloper.

Isaac has been pursuing a higher level education in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Digital Media. His overall goal in everything he does is to glorify God which aligns beautifully with the intention of KAZQ. Isaac has stated that he looks to accomplishing everything the Lord presents to him with excellence as we are called “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,” Colossians 3:23.

My purpose in Life is to glorify Jesus in everything that I do

Isaac specializes in Adobe Master Collection with a special interest in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. Before KAZQ, Isaac worked as a Technical Support Representative for 4 years acquiring many Network and Information Technology skills as well as invaluable experience. He has been a quick learner in adapting to the requirements of Broadcast Television and has become prevalent in the Automation System, Maintenance, and Best Practices at KAZQ. Isaac hopes to see KAZQ succeed in spreading the gospel around the world and throughout New Mexico.

Steven Minor

Master Control, Traffic

Steve has been with KAZQ since 2004 while having taken various college courses including many computer courses which have been an asset to KAZQ. He is continuing his education and also plans on pursuing a ministerial degree.

Steve was employed mainly in the construction industry until returning to the Church and rededicating his life to Christ. His testimony of his time spent away from the body of Christ is a story all in itself and he is more than willing to share that story with others when given the opportunity. Steve’s life verse is Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

I love God with all that I am, and know that God’s work in me is yet to be completed

Steve has also learned many useful skills while employed here at KAZQ. Those include some lighting technique as he is responsible for the set up and camera operation of most of our local in studio productions.
